FEP Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene Copolymer

- FEP, Fluorinated ethylene propylene (fluteck™ E200) is a relatively soft melt-processable fluoropolymer with mechanical properties very similar to those of PTFE but with a lower continuous service temperature and better thermal stability.

● General

- FEP is a fully fluorinated polymer preferred for parts and components requiring very good mechanical properties. It is chemically inert and has exceptional dielectric properties over a wide frequency range. FEP possesses a low coefficient of friction, a very high degree of stress crack resistance, wear and heat resistance, and maintains its properties over a wide range of temperatures. It can be sterilized repeatedly and is FDA compliant. Important applications are linings for pipes in chemical processing equipment, roll covers, and numerous wire and cable applications, including aircraft wire, fire alarm cable and fuel cables.

● Features

▶ Excellent mechanical properties   Extremely high weathering resistance stability   Good light transmission
▶ Excellent chemical resistance        Very low surface energy   Excellent dielectric properties  Very low surface roughness

FEP offers excellent chemical inertness, heat and weather resistance, exceptional electrical properties, toughness and durability.

● Competitiveness

▶ Servie temperature up to 200’C (392’F)
▶ Excellent resistance to solvent and Chemicals
▶ Outstanding electrical properties

● Application

▶ FEP is an essential component in films, linings, tapes, wires and cables in a variety of industries including semiconductor, paper, chemical, textile, food processing and packaging.
