Alkylphenols

- DIC's alkylphenols have a broad range of applications including use as the raw materials for surfactants and synthetic resins such as phenolic resins, antioxidants for polymers and oils, and polymerization inhibitors for polymerizable monomers.

● DIC's Alkylphenols

4-Tertiary Butylphenol:
PTBP is a type of high purity alkylphenol manufactured from phenol and isobutylene using DIC's proprietary techniques.
It is used as a molecular weight modifier for polycarbonate resin and as a raw material in synthetic resins such as phenolic resins.

 4-Octylphenol :
POP is a type of high purity alkylphenol manufactured from the raw materials phenol and diisobutylene using DIC's proprietary techniques. It is used as a raw material for surfactants and synthetic resins such as phenolic resins.

 4-Tertiary Butylcatechol :
TBC has a broad range of applications including being used as a polymerization inhibitor for styrene, butadiene, and other polymerizable monomers, an antioxidant for polymers and oils, and a stabilizer for various organic compounds.
