Direct dye for paper making
● Features
▶ Dye exhaustion for cellulose fiber such as pulp can be done under normal temperature.
▶ Can be used for neutral area and lower amount of alum use due to high fixture rate during paper making process.
▶ Good overall toning properties due to small difference between products.
▶ Virtually no color pollution.
▶ Has small wastewater load and better treatment capability compared to other products.
▶ Cost-effective.
▶ Liquid type direct dye.
- Suitable for chemical pulp dyeing both sized or unsized. Has low migration property and creates bright color tone.
- Can be used for pH4 ~ 9.0 due to low sensitivity on pH.
● How to Use
▶ Inject to pulper, beater, mixing chest and machine chest under completely dissolved state. Use liquid alum to set pH under 6 and fix.
▶ Liquid type can be used for both before and after FAM pumping.
▶ Can be used with starch for size press.
● Caution
▶ Use with cation source material may cause precipitation and should be avoided.
▶ If not completely dissolved, a darker color may result and for blend color, there may be difference in color as well.
▶ If bad quality water is used (hard water or water with high salt content), add sodium phosphate (sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium pyrophosphate, etc.) to the solution and increase temperature to enhance solubility. This allows for better brightness of the color.
▶ For liquid types, avoid direct contact with sunlight and be cautious about freezing when storing under temperature below zero.
