Basic and cation dyes for paper making
● Features
▶ Suitable for dyeing pulps with high content of mechanical pulp (CTMP) or waste paper.
▶ Can be used between pH4 and 9.0 due to low sensitivity for pH.
▶ Displays brighter color from dye exhaustion than direct dye.
▶ Liquid type dyes are specially designed for pre-processing therefore have strong exhaustion and color. Can be added accordingly with the flow of paper material.
● How to Use
▶ Completely dissolve before injecting to pulper, beater, mixing chest and machine chest. Liquid types are suitable both before and after FAM pumping.
▶ Methyl violet and methylene blue shows high absorption efficiency for mechanical pulps (CTMP). They should be injected to a spot where dispersion can be done easily after diluting them as much as possible.
● Caution
▶ Using with anion source material may cause precipitation and should be avoided.
▶ If not completely dissolved, a darker color may result and for blend color, there may be difference in color as well.
▶ For powders, raising dissolution temperature near 60℃ or adding glacial acetic acid and using weak acidity (pH4.5 ~ 5.5) for dissolution facilitates dissolution process.
▶ Avoid direct contact with sunlight and store under normal temperature to prevent freezing.
