Application
It is a sodium polyacrylate. It is ideal for dispersing various kinds of pigments i.e. precipitated CaCO₃, clay, TiO₂, ZnO, AL(OH)₂, BaSO4, Satin white, etc. It is particularly suitable for preparation of highly concentrated pigment slurries and is effective to coating colors for high-speed blade coating due to its excellent viscosity stabilizing power. It is stable over a wide range of Ph from 5.5 to 14.
How to Use
Appropriate dispersant amount needs to be used depending on pigment. It can be mixed with water in any ratio so that it does not need to be diluted. An undiluted solution can be used.
Precautions
Above Ph 11 viscosity sometimes increases. It is compatible with almost all coating chemicals. However, because of its anionic character, cationic wetting agents and strong cationic materials such as quaternary ammonium salts should be avoided.
