Application
Supercote-550 dispersion prevents dusting at the supercalenders and during slitting and printing operations. By lubricating the coating, it improves flow and leveling characteristics, making possible smooth, even application. It also reduces cracking of the dry coating and improves its printablity and appearance.
How to Use
- It may be mixed directly with the coating color at the final stage in the make-up of the color. An undiluted solution can be used.
- It is normally used at a level of 1-3% on the weight of the dry solids in the coating.
Precautions
- Containers should be kept tightly closed when not in use to avoid evaporation losses.
- Because this is an alkaline product, wash immediately with water when it gets on your skin.
- Freezing seriously damages the product.
