Silica Catalyst _ ML-1
- ML-1 is a silica supported chrome oxide catalyst developed by KD Corporation for the production of general purpose high density polyethylene (HDPE) products. ML-1 is a lower cost alternative to other medium pore volume chrome-silica catalysts. ML-1 has consistent physical and chemical properties. It produces HDPE with excellent flow properties and environmental stress crack resistance/stiffness properties. ML-1 can be used in slurry and gas phase processes to make HDPE.
- KD Corp. offers high quality medium pore volume and high pore volume silica supported chrome catalysts tailored for use in different polyethylene processes. Our proprietary manufacturing process and state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Korea give us the ability to produce catalysts with different surface area and pore volume required to make different grades of HDPE. The chemistry can be chrome only, aluminum modified chrome and titanium modified chrome depending on the end used HDPE application. Excellent consistency and narrow particle size distribution are noteworthy. Polymers with broad molecular weight distribution and good co-monomer incorporation can be produced for any end use.
