Application

- Zirconium that has least neutron absorption cross section in existent metal is used for nuclear power generation as core material. and it has also used for deoxidzing, decarbonating agent in steel industry by good reactivity with oxygen, carbon, sulfur. And it is used extensively for a material of high conduction, refractory conduction, addition agent of casting (for fine crystalization), Superconduction, heating resisting refractory, High energy igniters, fuses and thermal batteries in pyrotechnics, production of highly reactive fuses, delay composition, and it has natures of exothermic reation and high reactivity with most materials. So it is also used for igniter composition in pyrotechnics for use in ammunition, explosive, airbags and belt pretensioner, zirconium component in powder metallurgy, alloying constituent in powder metallurgy, getter materials, as a binder or brazing material for abrasive wheel, polishing disk, as a source material of getter film for manufacturing transmitter
