JISTAT 700 - Antistatic Agent for Acrylic, Melamine and Epoxy Binders





- JISTAT 700 is the antistatic and coating agent for mobile phones, keyboards and electric boards and other plastic and epoxy based agents. This antistatic agent for Acryl Binders and adhesives was an engineered coating agent designed to prolong and strengthen the durability of floor coverings, Paints, Melamine and all plastic and Epoxy based materials. JISTAT 700 is a fluid, easy to handle 80% solution in MEK, solvent compatible with most paints.

● FEATURES

- Reduction of paint resistivity to below ohms/sq.
- Lowering of paint surface tension to around 30 dyn/cm.
- Low effective dosage levels with minimal adverse effective paint film properties (colour, evenness, general appearance, hardness, resistance to corrosion, etc.)
- Quickly and easily dissolved in the paint medium.
- Minimum yellowing even in white paints.

● APPLICATION

1. JISTAT 700 in paint.
The solvents normally used in paint formulation are of such low polarity that the paint’s electrical resistance is too high for satisfactory electrostatic spray applications. To avoid reformulation of the paint using polar solvents (which may have unsatisfactory low flash points) it is convenient to add a small quantity of JISTAT 700 achieve the desired objectives.
The dosage rate for conductivity additives depends on the characteristics of the paint and it should therefore be determined experimentally. This is usually done using special apparatus such as a Paint Test Resistance Meter enabling electrical resistance of the paint to be measured directly.
Experience indicates that an addition rate of 0.2~3.0% on weight of paint is required, depending on the actual paint formulation.
