Antistatic Agent for Rubber
- Antistatic agents are compounds used for treatment of materials or their surfaces in order to reduce or eliminate buildup of static electricity generally caused by the triboelectric effect.
- Generally when rubber contact with metal, the rubber has a high conductivity of creating static due to electron movements, or electrification from friction with other materials. Rubber itself is very difficult to use as a non conductivity of static. With this in mind we have created RAS-307, an antistatic agent for rubber. RAS-307 is for the antistatic of Outsole, semi-conduct FAB, mat and floor manufacturing which has ingredient NBR/CR in the plasticizer (softening) and mixing process, giving an antistatic in the rubber.
▶ Characteristics
1) RAS-307 is very compatible with rubber, and provided an outstanding antistatic effect, even in small amount (3-5phr).
2) RAS-307 does not affect the physical characteristics of rubber with its variation of adhesive and hardness.
3) RAS-307 does not cause fading of color pigmented material due to the fact that it does not have any metallic ion.
4) RAS-307 does not affect the color of colored products because it is a clear transparency and is also a distinguished internal heat resistant.
▶ Instruction of use
- The amount used depends on the surface resistant requirement, but generally add 4~5 phr for 107~108 Ω/sq, and 3~4 phr for 109~1010 Ω/sq.
