PMMA(Polymethyl methacrylate) releasing agent
- In the manufacturing process of PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) acryl sheets, hardening agents are generally added, such as AIBN(Azobisisobutyronitrile) in the MMA (Methyl methacrylate) monomer by Batch manner. By adding our releasing agent into the MMA while determining the consistency with the addition of hardener. Then applying in a water bath between the glass plates and allowing to cure improves the separation of the glass manufacturing process. Even adding a small amount of the PMMA releasing agent in to the MMA monomer results in ease of glass separation, acryl sheets do not result in cracks and leveling is excellent.
● Product Name: PMMA-74RA
▶ Physical property
▶ Characteristic
1. PMMA(Polymethyl methacrylate) does not affect physical properties and color.
2. Ease of separation between PMMA and glass, with no cracking.
3. Excellent smoothness and no residue on the surface of the PMMA after glass separation.
4. Very economical due to the excellent releasing ability even when using small amounts (0.001~0.002wt%).
▶ Instruction of use
1. Add PMMA-74RA of 0.001~0.002 wt% into the MMA (Methyl methacrylate) monomer, melt this batch, adjust addition of AIBN (Azobisisobutyronitrile) hardening agent, depending on the thickness of PMMA (acryl sheets) in to the mixture.
2. Maintaining bath water temp. at 44~45℃, apply the MMA mixture between glass sheets and seal for approximately 15hrs for hardening.
3. After curing action is complete remove the bath water, apply steam treatment of 75~80℃ for 30min~1hr, during cooling process remove the glass at 50℃.
