● Introduction and Characteristics
1. Two-component urethane coatings and unsaturated polyester coatings are used and the manufacturing process consists of three stages which are low coat, middle coat and top coat. The properties of the coatings are prepared according to the desired properties for each process.
2. An urethane paint is first coated as a low coat, and then an unsaturated polyester paint is coated as a middle coat. A urethane paint or a mixture of an urethane paint and an unsaturated polyester paint is coated as a top coat.
3. Tthe production of guitars has typically proven difficult since they usually require long manufacturing times, and it is tricky to mass produce them through automation due to their 3 dimensional structure or low productivity due to long manufacturing time, various methods such as the electrostatic painting or UV painting have been tried to resolve such problems, our company has recently developed coating products for middle coats and top coats, which are appropriate for electrostatic painting equipment and has been supplying those products to the world's most famous musical instrument manufacturers including Samick Musical Instruments Co., Ltd., CORT and GIBSON since the year of 2008.
