ECO (Epichlorohydrin Rubber)
● Description
- Epichlorohydrin Rubber is synthetic rubber that has been developed since 1960's. It has brought the attention from the beginning because of its unique molecular structure and superior properties.
ECO is widely used in automobile, electronic facility, refrigerator, chemical and aerospace industry. The monomer of epichlorohydrin is epoxide, and it formulates elastomer with catalysts.
ECO consists of homo-polymer and co-polymer, and co-polymer is divided by di-polymer and ter-polymer. Thus, it has 3 types available. The molecule structure of ECO is composed of ether linkage for a main chain and CH2Cl which has polar group for a side chain, and ECO has a good equilibrium performance.
