About Ferric Pyrophosphate


 Ferric pyrophosphate is a 'Fe' compound used to fortify infant cereals and chocolate-drink powders as it causes no organoleptic changes to the food vehicle. It is light yellow powder, emulsified after water dissolving. It is soluble in inorganic acid and its molecular weight is 745.22. It is also in accordance with the requirements of FCC V (Food Chemical Codex).
