• It is semi transparent deliquescent solid with the property of alkali.
• It is soluble in water and the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline and when dissolved in water it develops fever and slippery like soap showing high corrosiveness.
Application
Manufacture of artificial silk, synthetic leather, media of pigment, spice, medicine, refining of cotton yarn and stuff, refinement of oil and fat, manufacture of soap, paper & pulp manufacture, manufacture of various sodium bicarbonate, electrolysis solution of battery, general detergent, reagent for analysis, etc.
