SILICA GEL

- "SILICA GEL" is a product that has been widely used worldwide for decades as a desiccant.
The precipitate formed by adding calcium chloride to aqueous sodium silicate solution (water glass, Na 2 , SiO 3 ) is washed with hydrochloric acid and water to remove calcium ions and dried. As a product with a small pore size and a large specific surface area, it can be said that it has a strong initial hygroscopic power but does not have persistence.
