Liquid Carbon Dioxide (L-CO₂)

Carbon Dioxide is a compound of carbon and oxygen. It is colorless, tasteless and odorless gas at ambient temperature and pressure. It is also called Carbonic Anhydride. It is different from CO (Carbon Oxide) which is harmful to human body.

Uses of products

Food beverage

It is used as food additives for beer, carbonated soda, and sparkling water.

Industrial uses

As inert gas, it is used as welding, fire extinguishing, tank purge gas, quick coolant, release agent of casting industry, antioxidant, sealing for combustible hazardous storage tank and CO₂ gas laser charging

Agricultural uses

It is used as plant growth accelerator, crop storage, removal of tannic acid of persimmon (keep sugar content) and low temperature storage of vegetables and fruits.

Medical uses

Utilized for topical anesthetic, insecticide, disinfection gas (E.O and mixed gas) and incubator.

Chemical material

It is used to manufacture Urea and Soda Ash.

Others

It is used for water treatment, waste water treatment -PH control (dyeing complex, dam and tunnel construction site), tobacco puffing, livestock (pig, chicken, sheep, goat etc) slaughter, sprayer charging (cosmetics, medicine and disinfectant etc.)

- Chemical Properties
ㆍ CO₂ is not chemical active compound when high temperature is required to promote reaction.
ㆍ When water is dissolved, carbonic acid (H₂CO₃) is formed. (CO₂+H₂O → H₂CO₃)
ㆍ While CO₂ is stable under normal condition, CO₂ is dissociated into O₂ and CO to some degree at over 1700℃ (15.8% at 2227℃)
ㆍ CO₂ is chemically inactive and incombustible, which is suitable for fire extinguishing. It is used as explosive preventive sealing gas.
ㆍ While pure CO₂ has no oxidative, it oxidize metal with moisture and also oxidize metal at high temperature.
